The project pilots the creation of the Zandra Rhodes Digital Study Collection and an accompanying Open Educational Resource (OER). Zandra Rhodes is amongst the most famous and recognisable names in British fashion over the last fifty years.

Used for capturing data at studio. Had preious experience in using for FineArt.ac.uk & and more National Galery. Quite visual so suits project. Not too expensive. Export in simple formats (txt, csv...)

Using VADS headings, draws on VRA Core. Looked at V&A and Met Museum of Arts, and asked studio.

Digital cataloguer working on metadata. No existing catalogue or database for this collection. Lots of books and information resources. Main getting the information first-hand from studio staff, drawing on knowledge of designers. Putting this into database with standardised metadata. See blog for further details.

Content is mostly images. Followed best practice advice from JISC Digital Media: capture, preservation options etc. Photos ZRs personal collection plus scans of sketches, water colours etc.
