The Programme Approval Learn Electronic Toolset
Utilising the Lean Thinking methodology for process improvements, the PALET project will develop revised procedures for the approval of new programmes to create a more agile, efficient and flexible approach to the design of new curricula and the subsequent programme approval process.

Provides MWE portal. Hosts a programme management portlet that has all the controls for the curriculum management process. Connects through to SITS via StuTalk 2012 update: still main institutional portal, have written a portlet to connect all curriculum data/forms etc in once place .

Collaboration software and purported knowledgebase. Being evaluated along its API for fit. Not prioritised at the moment. 2012 update: have trialled APIs and now getting feeds from discussion forums etc and feeding into portlet area in Websphere. Lotus Connections now being supported at corporate level in the institution.
