Licensing - using Creative Commons. CC-BY-NC considered, because academics who own IPR and some partners will probably want to restrict commercial use. May consider dual licensing as CC: BY SA, perhaps in response to enquiries about commercial use

One compelling reason to broadcast and shares resources widely would be if you could get usage statistics back about your resources

Jorum deposit - baseline scenario is submission of ebook to Jorum. Other option at more granular levels are under consideration including possible RSS or api based approached (though technical development capacity within project is limited).

A lesson idea will be a Mediawiki page (which may include subpages). Working out details as they're aware that navigation in wikis can be messy

Granularity is rooted in lesson idea - it can link to more granular resources but for Orbit the key level is lesson plan

Often you can get lesson plans from publishers but the teacher may not have the pedagogical or subject background to make best use of the lesson plan. ORBIT aims to create triads of Lesson idea, pedagogical notes, and subject context

Challenge that there are lots of materials for primary and secondary ed which are free but not open. one aim of the project is to identify free resources which could be made open. Also exploring opening up some of the SMILE collections.
