This project aims to reconceptualise the institution's assessment process from a perspective of an assessment career, that is taking a longitudinal view of assessment by including a learner‟s past experiences of assessment as well as current trajectories.

Technologies less

Moodle
Moved from Blackboard, implemented in 2011/12, rolled out 2012/13. Part of the project is to get more lecturers to provide assignment feedback in here. A new plug in has been developed that will gather feedback across courses and present it longitudinally to a student.
Microsoft Word
Used to make a feedback template that lecturers can use to standardise feedback between themselves, and aid longitudinal analysis for both students and staff

Being evaluated for a more consistent online assessment process and plagiarism detection. Status of use at May 2013 unclear.

Project will provide those piloting new assessment practices with systems and technologies for supporting that practice, e.g. assessment templates, multi-stage assessments, ipsative feedback, multiple mixed methods of assessment, peer and self assessment, multi-source feedback and assessment career audits.
