Technologies
Technologies
| asp.net |
Current web app technology. The project could look at PHP as a potentially more scalable and more easily supported alternative.
|
| MySQL |
The database currently used. Migrated from MS Access many years ago
|
| Cambridge Semantics Anzo |
A radical alternative to the current set-up. It is a platform that uses a triple store for storage, and MS Excel and the web as the main interfaces. The advantage would be the schema-less agility, flexibility and linked date compatibility of RDF at the back end, and ease of data entry and processing at the user end.
|
| D2R |
A simple, open source tool that allows any database to be searched as if it is a triple store. Facilitates the generation of RDF dumps too.
|
| MS Excel |
Currently supported downloadable data output format
